Multistate Tax Consultant I- Associate Analyst

Work you’ll do
Working independently, as well as in teams with a diverse group of talented tax professionals. As a Multistate Tax Consultant I -Associate Analyst in our team you will work in our US tax compliance process, using leading edge technology tools to meet our clients’ compliance requirements. With a focus on quality, delivery, and execution, daily tasks include preparing state tax returns, while learning a specialty in select state jurisdictions. Other duties for assigned state jurisdictions include updating tax technical matrices and preparing extensions & estimates. To perform the various duties, you will be required to understand state tax technical issues across assigned jurisdictions and apply professional judgement to prepare tax compliance deliverables and update the tax technical matrices.
Multistate Tax Consultant I -Associate Analyst should be able to:
Work in a fast-paced environment on multiple assignments or engagements.
Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills required for teaming, both in office and virtual.
To list some of key responsibilities: – Preparing partnership and corporate state tax returns for assigned jurisdictions based on work papers provided by engagement teams that include multistate tax issues such as apportionment, state modifications, nexus, unitary filings, and flow-through taxation.
Updating tax technical matrices and state tax tools for assigned jurisdictions.
Preparing partnership and corporate state extensions and estimates based on assigned jurisdictions.
The Team
We support a collaborative and inclusive team culture. Workload expectations vary over the course of the year, with greater workloads expected in peak periods and smaller workloads expected in off-peak periods. Teams are comprised of professionals with technical knowledge whose primary responsibilities is tax compliance. Tax professionals in our team will serve investment management engagements.
Qualifications
Required:
Full time bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent with minimum of 60% and above or equivalent CGPA
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products — Excel, Word, etc.
Ability to multi-task on various responsibilities through prioritization of activities
Capability of handling high work pressure during busy season
Ability to quickly integrate with the existing team
Exceptional analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Good personal organizational skills and commitment to client service
General accounting knowledge
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Aptitude for learning technology
Preferred: Technology-related coursework highly desirable
Work Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings:11 AM to 8 PM IST
