As a Field Representative, you will begin your development in the MTC Training Class. Following the training class, you will enter rotational assignments tailored to an industry or distribution service (dealer development) career path. Rotational assignments will be focused on developing industry and product application knowledge as well as a strong understanding of the Caterpillar Dealer network.
This is a position designed to build the employees skill sets within a specific industry and to help prepare you for future field rep as a Paving Sales Rep .
The Paving Sales Rep job duties include:
counseling dealers in developing increased human performance capability
providing guidance on existing and potential customer service issues and improvement measures within one industry
assisting dealers on forecast, sales/rental/used strategy planning and sales techniques
supporting rollout of new products (e.g., products, parts, customer service agreements, other service products)
analyzing and communicating marketplace and competitive activity to Caterpillar personnel and dealers
analyzing product application, configuration and utilization that provide the best solution for a customer
assisting dealers with business planning within one industry
helping to create and promote programs that increase sales while maximizing price realization
continuing to develop required proficiency level in the specified foundation competencies and skills.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
3 years of working experience or at least one year with Caterpillar
Project management and operational process improvement experience
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Requires a marketing or engineering degree or the equivalent
Must be willing to travel extensively (25%-50% depending on the role)
Knowledge of the paving world
Fluent in English
The top candidates will also have:
Industry experience
Product B2B Distribution Model and Services Development
Good priority management
Knowledge of the Middle-East and African market would be beneficial
Self-starter and strong accountability
Experience working in an international and matrix organization structure
Fluency in French or Arabic would be beneficial
Knowledge or interest in paving/road construction products
