Petrofac Well Engineering Division is currently looking to recruit a Petrophysicist to be based at client Office, Abu Dhabi,UAE.

Petrofac Well Engineering (formerly SPD Ltd) is an independent specialist Well Engineering company with an absolute focus on our core expertise. Our objective is to stimulate creative dialogue with our clients to optimize total project value. Well Engineering has a wealth of experience planning and managing well operations projects worldwide. The initial company, SPD Ltd, was established in Dubai in 2002 and has worked in over 50 countries, for over 100 operators and in all drilling scenarios and terrains.
Key Responsibilities:
The Petrophysicist should provide high-quality petrophysical support to the appraisal, development and reservoir management of the Company assets as assigned.
His responsibility is to ensure the quality of the data acquired during wireline logging & preliminary interpretation of acquired data at the well site.
Significant knowledge of logging and core analysis techniques appropriate for unconventional and conventional reservoir analysis is required.
Experience in designing data acquisition programs and later evaluation and integration – including open-hole logging, LWD/MWD, coring, hydrocarbon sampling.
High-level knowledge of basic and advanced logging techniques, including NMR, ECS, dipole sonic, etc.
Seismic Petrophysics contribute to Petro-elastic modelling for 3D reservoir description; Reservoir Petrophysics quantitative reservoir description in complex lithologies, characterize conventional & unconventional resources, and develop/improve techniques for formation evaluation from cores and cuttings; and geo-mechanical modelling – log-derived mechanical properties, formation testing, and core measurements.
Capabilities in carbonates is required, Capabilities in shaly sands is desired.
Proven ability to function effectively in (geographically dispersed) multidisciplinary teams, within a matrix organization.
Ability to perform analysis, interpretation and problem-solving at all levels of complexity with varying volumes of data.
Demonstrated will or ability to work in teams in close collaboration with multi-discipline exploration and development team members is required.
Minimum Requirement
Minimum 20 years of experience as Petro-physicist in the E&P industry.
Current and up to date software capability using office and collaborative applications.
Skills in the English language are essential.
