Job Description : The Role
Taaleem is currently recruiting for a Public Relations Officer (PRO) to operate in the Taaleem Charter Schools located in Abu Dhabi, to start as soon as possible. Primary Purpose of Job: To work in partnership with HR/BCs to handle all tasks related to the visa process. To support staff who have complex issues that require interaction with Government departments. Key Relationships: HR, staff, Government departments. Key Responsibilities: • Secure visas, EID and labor cards for all staff within the time frame permitted • Provide guidance to staff and support as necessary with medicals and other necessary steps in obtaining a visa • Support employees with a family in obtaining a visa for dependents • Liaise daily with HR to ensure effective communication regarding the status of each employee • Support with all interactions with government departments that may require an Arabic speaker, for example license renewal • Support employees who face challenges with Government departments • Work in collaboration with other PROs to cover during vacation and support during exceptionally busy times • Attend meetings when required • Perform other related duties as requested by line managers Requirements: • Ability to keep discretion and confidentiality. • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Work productively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. • A mature and responsible approach to work and use initiative to solve problems and be able to liaise in a professional and persuasive manner with staff at all levels in the organization. • Must have good commutation skills in Arabic and English. As a bilingual speaker they will be able to develop relationships with all staff and key personnel in government offices.
Requirements
Education: Good general education appropriate to the post • A minimum of 2 years’ work experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar position with particular emphasis on compliance. • Good oral and written communication skills of both Arabic and English & ability to read, write and type in Arabic. • Good working knowledge of other local & federal government department process, policies & procedures. • Experienced in Microsoft packages. Understand data protection and confidentiality. • Good natured, well-groomed and courteous. • Ability to work to deadlines in a calm and confident manner when under pressure.
