Job Description : The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a post-doc position starting March 2020 to work on a research project related to wastewater treatment. The position will be housed in Environmental Engineering labs in cooperation with the National Water Center (NWC) at UAEU.
The objective of the project is to examine the technical and economic feasibilities of using micro-nano bubbles (MNBs) technology in wastewater treatment within Abu Dhabi Emirate. The position offers competitive salary and other benefits. This project is funded by Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), through the ADEK Award for Research Excellence (AARE) program and is conducted in collaboration with Korea University, Republic of Korea.
Candidate’s duties include management of day-to-day activities of the project; conducting laboratories and field experiments, and publish research findings in refereed journals.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants must have at least MSc degree (Preference will be given to candidates with PhD degrees) in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering with specific focus on water chemistry.

Preferred Qualification
The ideal candidate should be highly-motivated and submit documented evidence to support (1) Proven extensive lab experiences; (2) demonstrated research and track record publications; (2) Good technical writing skills; (3) Flexibility and self-dependence in executing the assigned research roles.
