Job Description : Purpose
.
To lead and undertake the development of software solutions
To undertake detailed design activity to produce the required technical specifications, configuration and customization designs
To undertake code development, configuration and testing
To ensure that high quality code, configuration and customization is developed, tested and deployed in accordance with requirements and acceptance criteria
To lead end user demonstrations, working with end users, solution architects and solution designers/business consultants to ensure end user functionality and experience is achieved
To take an end to end view of the overall system, making recommendations, and developing sustainable solutions in line with architecture standards
Administering third party applications, users, and system resources
Experience in integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems is desired.
Understanding of both Agile (SCRUM) and Waterfall delivery principles and the importance of SDLC (Software Development Process) and coding methodology principles.
Accountabilities
Ensures software is developed and configured to meet user requirements and associated acceptance criteria, in line with quality standards
Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives and business requirements
Manage daily support and maintenance of internal Salesforce instance, and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements
Coding in APEX, Visualforce and Lightning Development.
Solid understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
Code version control (GIT, other)
Configuring OOB Salesforce to the maximum achievable without coding
Working as part of Agile delivery teams
Develops detailed designs and technical specifications
Develops, configures and tests software to meet user requirements and associated acceptance criteria, performance criteria and non-functional requirements in line with quality standards
Ensures that test plans and test cases are created to meet quality, functional and non-functional requirements
Undertake qualitative peer reviews of the work activities of other development teams
Ensures that the designed and coded solutions meet the performance demands of the application
Directly contributes during major incidents and provides deep technical backup to operational teams
Undertakes qualitative peer reviews of the work activities of other development team members
Technical Skills:
Salesforce: Sales cloud, Community/Experience cloud, (Service cloud and Marketing cloud are a plus), Process Builder, Workflow, Flow, Einstein Analytics, Triggers, Approval Process, Territory Management, Sharing & Visibility Management, Custom Theme & Page Template, LWC & Design System, Package Development , Connected App , WSDL ,Lightening Mobile, Translation, Dashboard.
Tools: Jenkins, Bit Bucket, Data Loader, VS Code & Extensions, Stash, Kdiff3, Clayton.
Languages: Apex, Java, JS , SQL, SOQL, SOSL.
Hands on Integration experience with other system like SAP, Qliksense, Informatica etc.

Experience / Previous jobs required for the job
Preferred: Salesforce Developer Certification
Minimum 4 years in design, coding and testing in Salesforce.com platform
Practical working experience of applying agile development approaches, methods, including release and sprint planning and execution
Excellent coding and testing skills with the code base associated with the application
Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a high performing and agile based team
Self-organising, achieves tasks without constant monitoring
Manageability; takes direction and provides proactive and constructive support
Strong organisation, multi-tasking and time management skills
Strong communication skills – written and oral – and the ability to present and advocate ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
Excellent stakeholder management skills to deliver solution services in a critical business operational environment
Critical knowledge and education required for the job
Bachelor Degree or equivalent in related field or equivalent experience.
Supports the planning of sprints and executes their role in accordance with the agreed sprint plans
Supports operational colleagues in resolving complex in-life software issues
Supports the creation of detailed designs and technical specifications
Finds opportunities to re-use existing components and actively reduces complexity and customization in the technology landscape
Where required will work with other colleagues across platforms to assure integrated solutions
Applies code control and testing standards in accordance with Syngenta / industry standards
Works with end user community to deliver user experience and user acceptance testing on a continuous basis
Ensures that they are up to date with industry knowledge and relevant technology trends
