Role Description
Role Description: Soldering Technician / Operator

We are looking for an Soldering technician / Operator who has completed ITI / Diploma in Electrical with 4-6 years of experience. Should be familiar with basic electric wiring, Soldering of components and independently install – verify devices. Basic knowledge of components like resistors, capacitors, diodes etc. along with some hands on mechanical assembly / mechanical engineering experience is desirable but not mandatory.

Role and responsibilities

Day to day work related to PCB assembly for different types of components having various packages
Working for board clean up, SMD / SMT pads cleaning, de-soldering and re-soldering of parts
Checking for dry soldering after PCB assembly
Working on visual inspection, continuity testing
Assembly on bare vero-board with components and wires based on circuit diagram
Taking care of proto board soldering on manual basis
Working closely with EMS facility, production lines
Taking care of components in stock, IGQC for procured components, counting w.r.t Bill of Material
Taking care of assembled board fitment in enclosure, screwing and fitting
Handling cable crimping, wire cutting, trimming, harness designs based on wiring diagram, etc.

Technical skills requirements

The candidate must demonstrate knowledge and experience as,

Proficient in component level soldering – surface mount and through hole
Strong Hands-On experience with soldering and de-soldering workstations, heat and temperature control adjustments
Proficient in hands on soldering with IC’s having packages – QFN, TQFP, PLCC, SOP, TSSOP, etc.
Proficient in soldering passive components having – 0201, 0402, package, etc.
Proficient in soldering of SMD / SMT connectors of any pitch, micro mating parts, etc.
Work experience using microcontroller will be desirable
Proficient in hands on soldering for complete PCB board of different form factors
Knowledge in BGA package soldering using stencils
Knowledge in bare board, assembled board visual inspection, fault findings for dry soldering
Proficient in board clean up works, tinning, plating, de-soldering and re-soldering works
Knowledge in wire crimping, cable and wiring harness
Knowledge in maintaining component inventory, stocks
Proficient in board fitment in enclosure, complete assembly for end products

Qualifications

2 to 6 years of work experience in systems or application development
ITI-Electrical And-Or Diploma in Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics.
