What you will be doing
Support sybase ASE v 16.x and 15. X
Troubleshooting problems real-time issues
Handling of any Capacity Thresholds breached, Monitoring error, job logs to check database health and corruption,
Handling Memory Management issues,
Handling slow performance of ASE, Replication server
Sybase installation and version upgrade from 15. x to 16. x .
New Builds and installations.
What you bring
Should have 6+ years of experience as Sybase DBA on Sybase Adaptive server enterprise and Sybase IQ.
Excellent knowledge on ASE 12.5 through 15.7In depth knowledge on performance tuning, installing and configuringHandling reorg and Update statistics of tables, indexesRestoring/recovering databases from backups,Understanding of Sybase Replication (MSA, table level and warm standby)In depth knowledge on Replication/cluster.Knowledge on shell scripting.Ensure SLA’s and operational KPI’s are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occur.Analyzing root cause of issues and working with teams in closing them permanently.experience Sybase IQ is an advantagewide experience with Sybase performance tuning
