Our client, an exciting government entity is looking for a System Administrator to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The Administrator will be responsible for providing support to the control activities of Information Technology and Systems operations in the Group to ensure that departmental objectives are met, and the highest standards of technology services are made available to support business needs.
Please note that this is an Emiratisation role, and only UAE Nationals with a Family Book will be contacted.
The role:
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization such as Hyper V and VMwareActive Directory installation, configuration, and management with day-to-day operations with GPO, trust relationship, replication, and Active Directory audit related queriesServer Backup & Restoration with Veeam Backup and Acronis Backup solutionsWindows Servers 2008 to 2022, installation, configuration, migration, and management with day-to-day operationsInstall and upgrade Server’s components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes and cloud services such as Office 365 and SaaS based applicationsRecord problem symptoms and status information in a timely fashion and communicate internally within IT and externally with the customer through problem resolutionMaintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware and Manage Engine productsOwn projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiativeHandle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in a global marketplaceEnable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insightsTroubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
Requirements:
UAE National with a Family BookMinimum Diploma degree in Information Systems or equivalent
2-5 years’ experience in hardware and software troubleshooting and technical supportCertification in Microsoft, Office 365, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies is essentialITIL v4 certification is a plus
