We’re seeking writers with superior writing skills and experience creating compelling content that instructs people how to use software applications to achieve their business goals. You should have proven talent for making complex technologies easy to understand for IT admins and developer audiences. Knowledge of or familiarity with Cloud Computing a big plus.

Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll work with product and program managers, software engineers, support, marketing, and other writing teams to create effective product documentation, learning modules, and scenario-based guidance about Azure services (https://docs.microsoft.com/azure). Responsibilities include the following:
Plan. Develop, prioritize, and execute customer-focused, data-informed content plans using agile processes. Manage your time to meet release milestones.
Create. Author and publish high-impact content addressing the needs of IT admin and developer audiences. Experience writing for localization a plus.
Collaborate. Work with and seek feedback from business stakeholders, support, marketing, and fellow writers to understand customer goals and success.
Manage content. Create and maintain GitHub repositories, write in markdown language, and assist docs contributors with their pull requests.
Analyze. Use data to report on your impact, prioritize your work, and adjust to future plans.
Apply Microsoft style. Use content standards and templates to ensure consistency in the documentation.
Document code. Create and document code snippets, samples, and command-line examples for app developers. Knowledge of or familiarity with PowerShell, .NET, Python, REST, ARM, etc. a plus.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
3+ years of experience writing for technical audiences. Documenting how to use software and creating B2C and B2B content preferred.
Strong written and verbal English-language skills.
Gathering and implementing feedback from stakeholders. Ability to back up and defend your choices is important.
Experience managing writing projects to meet various release types (private preview, public preview, general availability) and dates.
Experience with content management systems. Experience with Git/Github a plus.
Preferred qualifications:
Prior experience writing about Cloud-based platforms and services.
Experience writing cross-product/cross-service content to help customers achieve specific scenarios.
Experience gathering and analyzing content usage and performance data to prioritize efforts. Experience with SQL queries and Power Platforms (formerly PowerBI) a plus.
Experience writing in markdown language, document tagging, and SEO best practices.
Experience working in an agile content development environment and with continuous publishing.
Experience working as part of a global team with remote colleagues.
Knowledge of or familiarity with programming concepts in one or more of these languages: PowerShell, C#, .NET, Python, REST, ARM, etc.
