Role Overview & Information
Required Skills:
Exposure to product-development – Agile process – (Writers coming from a service-based industry needs to be educated on the Scrum ceremonies and general product development process/procedures).
Knowledge of Madcap Flare, Microsoft Word, basic image editing tools
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of SDLC and DDLC
Ability to Plan, Design, Structure, Research, Write and Edit end-user documents (Use the application that you are documenting and be a customer advocate)
Familiarity with the Microsoft Writing Style guide
Create flowcharts and other diagrams
Maintain consistency in tone and style
Conform to the Technical Publications documentation standards and best practices.
Work with senior writers, developers, product managers, and other partners to understand the requirements and scope of product documentation deliverables
Coordinate document reviews with stakeholders and incorporate feedback
Experience – 2 – 4 Years
Other Aspects:
Participate in technical and functional review meetings
Strong commitment to teamwork and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability
Quickly learn and understand new technical features and concepts with passion.
Achieve and maintain relevant product knowledge
Strong knowledge of:
o Madcap Flare or any topic based authoring tool
o Standard technical content development tools.
o Microsoft Office Suite
