Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality technical documentation for Hewlett Packard Enterprise software and hardware products.
Research, Analyze, and Present solutions keeping in view of how it solves customer problems.
Analyze customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan.
Design and develop documentation (user/install/admin guides), and online information (interactive demos, help systems) integrated into the product, for a variety of audiences.
Tests documentation for install or administrative tasks to improve information deliverables and provide feedback on ease of use and user interfaces to product development.
Manage workload in Jira and source management tools such as Git, Github, and other content management tools to manage versions in the shared work environment.
Track and manage multiple work items simultaneously.
Exercise independent judgment within defined parameters. Develop expertise and practical knowledge of applications within a business environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Recognize and raise issues with a manager or engineering teams.
Qualifications
A degree in the field of technology, technical communication, or any other related field.
A minimum of 2-7 years of experience in Technical Writing for enterprise products.
Mandatory Skills:
Understands concepts and develops an in-depth working knowledge of products, applications, and systems in the assigned area of responsibility.
Ability to deliver on multiple project technical requirements, schedules, and information formats.
Knowledge of tools and technologies relevant to content development and delivery.
Experience working in an Agile and Waterfall development environment.
Familiar with documentation development lifecycle process, documentation usability testing.
Good understanding of enterprise platforms and emerging technologies.
Exceptional communication (both written and verbal).
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in an XML authoring environment and a good understanding of DITA. Oxygen, Pandoc, Typora, VSD, SDL Publication Manager, Acrolinx, or similar content authoring tools.
Domain knowledge in Cloud Computing or Servers is a plus.
Familiarity with REST APIs, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or Git is a plus.
Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems as a user and as a writer for developers and system administrators.
Content strategist to translate complex solutions to simple/easy-to-understand documents.
Knowledge of containers, machine learning, and data science process is a plus.
