Job Description : Team Lead- Data Lake Testing

Role Description: Team Lead- Data Lake Testing
QA Team Lead?role?will able to lead & own the development & integration of product/service lines. Understands the technical requirements; develops the technology project plan and communicates the schedule to the team. Liaison with technical & domain architects to facilitate selection of appropriate technologies to meet the customer requirements.
Role and responsibilities

Leading and working with team members to deliver high-quality software product using Agile methodology.
Gathering, analysis and translate them into test cases.
Creation of test Plan/test strategies and maintenance of the test cases documents.
Test case execution – Functional and non-functional testing of web-based applications.
Defect Management – Defect reporting, tracking and verification.
Lead all the testing activities, from planning to implementation phases (including estimation, testing, client coordination, delivery etc.)
Manage and execute the system-testing process and UAT process.
Serve as a technical lead and mentor.
Support the implementation and post-implementation activities.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Experience in testing of large and highly complex projects using HDFS
Must have served as the test lead on multiple prior Big Data + BI engagements.
Must be able to manage the delivery and quality control of his team members.
Skilled problem solvers with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions.
Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to varied environments.

Technical skills requirements
The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

Big Data/Hadoop and BI reporting tools such as (MSTR, SAS VA, Power BI and Tableu required)
C#, Web Api’s, Good in scripting.
Jira, Testrail, Zohodesk .
Agile/Scrum development.
Full SDLC from development to production deployment.
Management Interfaces such as SNMP, Web, Rest Based Interfaces etc.
Networking Products – Router, Switches, Gateways.
Security (Firewall, VPN , ACL, NAT, IPSec, IPS/IDS, DPI for DNP3/MODBUS)
Test Case Management/Defect Management tool-Test Link, JIRA, Zephyr etc.
Testing on technology platforms like: Hbase, Hive, Sqoop Pig.
Testing of ETL Mappings to extract data from multiple sources like Oracle, SQL Server, Flat files etc. into target tables using transformations like Expressions, Routers, Lookups, Source Qualifiers, Aggregators, Filters, and Joiners etc.

Nice-to-have skills

Good experience on UI Testing ( Selenium) and API Testing ( RestAssure)
Preferable a SDET
Exposure to Mobile App testing is an added advantage.

Qualifications

6 to 8 years of work experience in systems or application development
B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer Science background is preferred.
