This exciting role is a great opportunity for an experienced Trade compliance manager. You will be at the heart of DI (Diagnostic Imaging) Systems and will be supporting to Create and evaluate new supply chain concepts and scenarios with an end-to-end scope, in line with the Business strategy.

You are responsible for
Supports the drive within Royal Philips towards Operational Excellence through creation and implementation of processes and procedures to minimize risk and increase security for Royal Philips goods flow in the international Supply Chain · Driving Operational compliance via risk management (2nd line of defense auditing program) · Responsible for global Customs Operations, setting and driving the Global Trade Compliance strategy for Dangerous Goods and Supply Chain Security · Ensures liaison with functions such as Corporate Tax/Customs, CEC, Finance, HR, AME, IT, Business Transformation · Executing GTC strategies on all domains, driving costs and compliance · Initiating, driving and running Global Trade Compliance improvement programs (such as training, process & systems roll-outs, compliance scoring). · Ensures liaison with governmental and non-governmental bodies and agencies and global business partners on compliancy · Creates a working environment that continuously improves the Health and Safety of workers, including identification and management of occupational risk, provision · Complete understanding of import, export documentation, processes & trade benefits, licenses preferably for Medical industry · Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in and/or out of the country in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local, country and international law and process. · Plan and implement import/export strategy and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the organization. · Coordination with Custom House Agents for ensuring timely clearances and effective transport solutions at reasonable costs. · Interfacing with shipping agencies and freight forwarders for selection of vessels & conducting negotiations for finalizing freight rates to optimize transportation costs & ensure damage free transit of goods. · Supply chain co-ordination for Export & Merchant Trade activities. · Experienced in handling break-bulk, project cargo, dangerous cargo etc. · Processing of letter of credits, customs clearance arrangement etc. · Knowledge in import and export related accounting formalities & audit compliances · Obtaining duty free authorization / scripts from Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) under various schemes of Foreign Trade Policy viz. EPCG, DEEC, Deemed export benefits,
· Handling preparation of applications for Drawback under All industries Rate, Brand Rate, Revenue Deposit refunds etc. · Handling preparation & maintenance of various import/export documents viz. LCs, contracts, agreements, fixture notes with shipping lines, freight forwarders etc, as per the rules and regulations. · Liaisoning and documentation with Govt. agencies – Customs, Central Excise, Licensing authorities, Export promotion councils, Drawback department etc · Collaboration with all parties (Planning, Warehouse / Factory Operations team, Customer Service, Sales) to ensure delivery of plan and visibility to all stake holders. · Should possess good Analytical & Negotiation Skills. Should have complete knowledge of Contract finalization with all channel partners like, Custom Brokers, Freight Forwarders, and Transport vendors. · Liaising with internal & external stakeholders · Preparing and executing reports. · Defining and executing compliance plan linked to SCM. · Planning and executing continuous improvement activities · Supporting role (Markets, BG’s, SVAL) for Goods Flow Control Board and FTA’s · Problem solving related to GFCB and FTA processes · Contributes and executes assessment or audit plan/policies · Planning and executing continuous improvement activities linked to business and compliance processes · Ability to lead a team · Driving cost reduction initiatives
You are a part of
Within DI Systems, the Order-To-Cash process entails all the activities from receipt of customer order to delivery at hospital site. Within the Order-To-Cash process there are 5 key activities handled by 5 teams, namely: S&OP/Order desk, Planning & Execution Control, NPI Supply Chain Management, Operational Procurement and Physical Distribution. You will be part of NPI Supply chain management team.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
A diploma or Master Degree in Trade compliance management
o At least 8 to 10 years of meaningful working experience in trade and customs industry, preferable from medical industry
o Strategic skills/conceptual thinking. Able to see and develop the bigger picture
o A passion for healthcare and new technologies
o Deep understanding of working with continuous improvements and KPI development
o Meaningful experience in improvement projects within Trade & customs compliance
