Overall Purpose of The Job Ensuring all Leisure seafarer training activity is relevant, appropriate, of a suitable quality standard, and integrated effectively with group operations and mandatory requirements. Assuring the quality of training delivered onboard managed vessels.

Key Responsibilities and TasksDevelopment of V.Ships Leisure seafarer training strategy

Integration of seafarer training strategy within V.Group training strategy and crewing strategy, responding to changing /emerging group requirements.

To assist in an operational role as required.

To carry out on-board fleet vessels Health and Safety training, as and when required

Ensuring V.Ships Leisure training matrices reflect company policy and regulatory requirements

In consultation with Compliance and Crew Department, develop training policy in response to new regulation

In consultation with Compliance and Technical Department, develop onboard training programs.

In consultation with Compliance Department, determine and develop suitable training responses/interventions to incidents and accidents.

Responsible for organising shoreside training courses for seafarers

Creation of client training reports

Ensure consistency of training material onboard managed vessels

Providing guidance and information to Crew Department regarding mandatory certification requirements

Providing guidance to Compliance and Technical departments in response to regulatory and training matrix changes.

Periodic auditing of onboard training

Required Experience ESSENTIAL:

Computer Literate

Graduate in Technology, Sciences or Nautical Sciences OR Master – Five (5) years in Command.

DESIRABLE:

Ship Management experience
