Job Description : The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has opportunities within the Child Support Services Division.

The Child Support Investigator maintains a complex caseload (up to 500 cases) and provides state administered child support services. Responsibilities include the enforcement of administrative and judicial child support orders. This position gathers and verifies information for financial and medical obligations, conducts interviews and investigations for paternity establishment and verifies and maintains confidentiality of data and documentation.

Qualifications:
What You Can Offer Us
Knowledge of investigative principles, due process, administrative and judicial process.
Knowledge of mediation and dispute resolution principles.
Ability to analyze information, make decisions and solve problems.
Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work.
Meet minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, social work, psychology, or related field.
Three years job related experience, child support, general investigative or relevant collections experience.
Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
