Job Description : WKTV Community Media in Wyoming and Kentwood, Michigan, is seeking the following to round out their staff:Community Media & Production CoordinatorFULL TIME with benefitsWKTV seeks a Community Media & Production Coordinator for television, news production and cinema. The successful candidate will have superior organizational skills with a steady drive to get multiple jobs done. WKTV is a busy and sometimes hectic work environment where multiple television productions are going on in various stages (pre-production-production-post production) all at the same time. WKTV can be a fun, engaging and creatively challenging place to work. The successful candidate will have working experience in the various Adobe editing and content creation platforms plus ability to learn additional editing software such as Pro Tools and DaVincic Resolve. Basic editing and shooting skills are a must.. Training and learning the operation of a broadcast television truck is also a must. WKTV has a roster of over 2350 community volunteers who are the bread and butter of our organization. Training them in the operation of a wide range of broadcast and film production equipment is a vital part of this position. Your interpersonal skills are an absolute must as WKTV presents itself to the community at large and at the personal level with a welcoming, can-do attitude that has been a primary element of our successful mission for nearly 50 years. The Community Media & Production Coordinator will interact with a host of community volunteers, city officials and non profits on a day to day basis.Depending on the needs of the communities we serve, some weekend work is occasionally required. This position entails the handling of broadcast production gear and the lifting, pushing and pulling of equipment of sometimes up to 50 lbs. Some productions are outdoors.
