Position : Director of Benefits – Direct Hire with Client

Job Description : We are assisting our client in Troy, MI hire a Director of Benefits. This is a direct placement with our client. This position is working onsite in the Troy, MI office.Position reports to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Benefits will be responsible leading a department responsible for the administration of client benefits. The director will be responsible for managing the team, successfully managing the utilization of our client’s HRIS to manage and enroll clients in benefits, and otherwise provide strategic guidance to the department.Working with other department heads and outside broker, the director will coordinate and facilitate activities related to all things benefits including renewals, payments, reconciliations, computations, ACA compliance and 401k.RESPONSIBILITIESImplementing client’s and client plans in our client’s HRISPreparation and review of 1094/1095C’s.Work with broker on internal renewals and electronic enrollment via our client’s HRIS.Administration of clients’ benefit plans including adds/deletes from carrier sites.Mentor and develop the Benefit Administration team while monitoring day to day processes.Meet with staff on a regular basis to evaluate workflow and progress.Strategize on and set up structure for annual open enrollment process.Lead development of open enrollment communications and education.Supervise and improve on the client benefit process.Analyze and monitor internal processes for efficiency.Foster and maintain ongoing relationships with existing health plan vendors and prospective vendors.Provide technical expertise to internal stakeholders in the areas of benefit policy and programs.Manage all Employee Self Service Benefit Portal maintenance.Responsible for the management and administration of all employee benefit plans and wellness programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, life, disability, supplemental plans, FSA, HSA, COBRA, and 401(k).EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum 5 years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities; experience in a professional services environment a plusProficiency in Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience in HRIS technologyExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsDetail oriented & ability to multi-taskPRISM HR experience is a plusJob Type: Full-timePay: $115,000.00 – $145,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Weekend availabilityExperience:HRIS software: 2 years (Preferred)Prism HR software: 1 year (Preferred)managing a team of 10 to 15 employees: 5 years (Preferred)Director of Benefits: 3 years (Required)Work Location: One location
