SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting TRCR by implementing and evaluating entire employee life cycles including performance, employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and manages the day to day activities of the Benefits Specialist, HR Generalist, and HR Assistant.
Supports current and future business needs through development of sound policies and procedural consistencies.
Works closely with Supervisors and Managers to create growth opportunities for all Team Members through effective development and retention programs.
Works closely with the HR Generalist to ensure job postings, interviewing, hiring and onboarding processes are consistent with our brand.
Ensures the HR department represents and demonstrates the TRCR Service Commitments in all communications, processes, and interactions.
Oversees and manages a performance appraisal system that drives Team Members to their highest abilities to meet the “Careers start here” promise.
Reviews company compensation quarterly and compares with other gaming casinos and regional wage information to suggest corrections and drive competitive salary structure.
Develops and maintains an effective Casino wide training matrix to meet current needs as well as establish career path opportunities and adequate succession plans.
Creates, reviews, and facilitates, along with other HR Team Members, required training for Team Members at all levels within the organization.
Advises Supervisors and Managers on complex employee relations matters following through to corrective coaching and investigations when necessary.
Facilitates Team Member separations, coaching Supervisors through to a consistent and compliant resolution.
Responds to unemployment claims, participating in appeals and representing TRCR at required hearings.
Administers random drug testing process for all TRCR properties.
Demonstrated success working in a role with exposure to highly confidential information and documents.
Works closely with Director of Human Resources to establish strategies and analyze efficiencies to ensure optimal performance of the HR department.
Other duties as directed by management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time. This position is determined to have a potential for possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed.

Required Experience:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY
Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources/Business and two year’s progressive experience in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification as a Human Resources Professional preferred.
Previous experience in a supervisory role a plus.
General understanding of computer programs, including all windows applications required.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
