Position : Prior Authorization Clerk – CPG Surgical Specialists
Job Description : This position is a full-time (0.8 – 1.0 Status), day shift Prior Authorization Clerk position in the CPG Surgical Specialists clinic.
Assist nursing staff with preauthorization of medical services through various insurance companies. Assist in scheduling surgeries for surgeons.
Minimum Required: General knowledge of the customer encounter process. Basic computer skills. Must have excellent communication skills and phone etiquette. Must be detail oriented and possess strong organization skills as well as be able to prioritize.
Preferred / Desired: Knowledge of medical services, coding and medical terminology preferred. Prior experience working with insurance companies for preauthorization for medical services preferred.
On Call / Weekends: No

Experience
Preferred
Prior experience working with insurance companies for preauthorization for medical services.
Knowledge of medical services, coding and medical terminology.
