Job Description

PepsiCo recently announced plans to enter a business relationship with Boston Beer, where Boston Beer will develop and manufacture a new flavored malt beverage HARD MTN DEW. As part of the business arrangement PepsiCo has set up a new entity, Blue Cloud Distribution, Inc. (BCD) for wholesale operations of the product including selling, delivering, and merchandising the product. We are looking for talented and passionate team members to join the BCD team that will bring this exciting new product to market. As part of the GTM & Sales Field Leadership Team supporting this business collaboration the Alcohol Sales Leader will support the sales and distribution of HARD MTN DEW within a specific field territory including ownership of the field sales and operations to ensure market penetration of this exciting new product. The Alcohol Sales Leader position is an integral part of our market-based sales leadership team and is responsible for leading a team of sales professionals, delivery team and warehouse operations to drive superior marketplace execution and customer service. This person is responsible for leading the team to be focused on managing key customer relationships and delivering against annual sales and execution targets. This person will be charged with setting the selling agenda and execution plan across key channels of business while gaining senior management’s alignment on plans and strategies The Alcohol Sales Leader will also have the opportunity to develop annual customer contracts, cultivate relationships and manage multiple priorities to make a positive business impact. In addition, the Alcohol Sales Leader will need to:

Manage, motivate and develop a team of sales professionals, delivery and warehouse operations in order to increase/enhance daily productivity and improve business performance across market/customer based KPI’s
Cultivate strong communication across market/location leadership for accurate handling of the account coverage of CDAR team
Ensure store delivery time windows are met daily
Coach, lead and develop drivers to support the sales organization and improve daily productivity
Ensure compliance of Department of Transportation and PBC safety standards
Work proactively with sales team to understand business trends, customer needs and opportunities to develop best in class programming
Manage team and develop utilization of key selling processes (internal PEPSI way to sell, Pre/Post Call Planning, Profit Max and EDGE training)
Maintain process improvement to further enhance and utilize available sales and execution tools (CDA, Bev Op, Go Spot Check, CRM)
Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure orders are submitted, delivered, and merchandised according to plan
Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
Work closely with Key Account Customer Retail teams to improve overall customer satisfaction
Set productivity and service targets and ensure proper resource allocation between accounts
Ensure the team understand and are experts on alcohol regulations for the state they operate in

Compensation and Benefits:

The expected salary range is $70K – $80K
Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually
Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
Consumer packaged goods experience in a direct store delivery environment
A minimum of 2 years managing frontline employees or demonstrated leadership capabilities
Malt Beverage, Spirits/Wine industry preferred
Direct selling experience
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/ or weekends
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
Must be willing and able to lift up-to 40 lbs. periodically
This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
Must have a valid driver’s license
Safe driving record strongly preferred
