Job Description : The Analyst/Infrastructure Protection reviews, supports, and maintains the access control and badging program, including coordination efforts, reporting, quality control, and provisioning for all facilities. This position is responsible for assisting the Administrator/Infrastructure Protection with the implementation, enhancement, and coordination efforts of a centralized physical security program for the five operating Divisions and Corporate campus and facilities, ensuring compliance in a manner consistent with Southwest Gas Corporation (“Company”) policies and procedures. This position also assists in process improvement, system upgrades, and vendor coordination for access management.
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires one to three years of relevant work experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations are required. This position requires the ability for strong analytical thinking, project management, and conflict resolution skills.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the areas of business administration, criminal justice, or related field is preferred. Knowledge of Transportation Security Administration Pipeline Security Guidelines, DHS Critical Infrastructure, Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”) Continuity of Operations Plan (National Incident Management System, Multi-Agency Coordination System, etc.), and cybersecurity is preferred. Previous Contract Security, facilities management, military or law enforcement experience, LenelS2 Certified Associate (“LCA”), OnGuard System Administrator Specialist, or equivalent certification preferred.
Essential Job Responsibilities

Act as the primary contact for the access control and badging management system
Facilitate issuing of photo access cards and assigning access authorizations for all card holders
Ensure all required access control reporting and contract compliance requirements are met
Perform physical access change control procedures (activation, updates, renewals, and deactivation of permissions) to all facilities for employees and contractors
Ensure all documentation and requests are signed and approved by the proper levels
Maintain operations of badge terminal and supplies to support access control management operations
Run reports to track appropriate metrics for the access control management system (issued, suspended, lost/missing, badges, etc.)
Maintain appropriate levels of access for spaces across sites as prescribed by the Administrator/Infrastructure Protection, cross-functional stakeholders, and compliance to improve policies and procedures
Evaluate access control and badging processes and equipment and collaborate with relevant stakeholders and vendors to identify solutions and areas of improvement
Perform audits as prescribed by standard practices and corporate policies and procedures and escalate non-compliance
Collaborate with Real Estate & Facilities, Cybersecurity, and the Operating Divisions to identify and assist with system improvement projects and upgrades
Provide support to management on issues of access control and life safety
Represent Company with vendor account manager and coordinate life-cycle maintenance
Work with the Administrator/Infrastructure Protection in maintaining and maturing the capabilities of the access control and badging management program
Collaborate with the Specialist/Security Operations to assess gaps in physical security and access control measures and identify solutions
Work with the Administrator/Infrastructure Protection in enhancing and integrating security systems for access control and badging systems, CCTV systems, alarm monitoring systems, etc.
Perform routine assessments related to security breaches, unauthorized access, tail-gating, and misappropriation of access cards
Maintain accountability and monitor access badge production amounts, badge allocation and proper usage
Validate appropriate entry and update to access control systems based on request approvals
Keep abreast of the latest industry trends to reduce the Company’s exposure to criminal events and disasters (natural or human-caused)
Identify training needs and areas of improvement
Seek consultation from peer groups, law enforcement, and emergency officials related to best practices
Complete all projects in a timely manner as required
Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

Salary Details
$54,694 – $68,367
