Pahrump, NV
Under direction, enforces animal control regulations and ordinances by patrolling designated areas and impounding stray and unwanted/unlicensed animals, issues warnings, and citations. Euthanizes and disposes of animals as needed.
Job Responsibilities:

Patrols geographic area, impounding stray animals and responding to complaints from the general public.
Issues warnings, citations to violators of animal control regulations and ordinances.
Responsible for the completion of routine paperwork and reports regarding animal control enforcement procedures.
Appears and testifies in court proceedings as an expert witness in matters regarding animal control laws and ordinances.
Officers will euthanize and dispose of animals in accordance with appropriate laws, regulations and policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Any combination of related training and experience that would provide the required entry-level knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Officer must possess a DEA Permit, State Board of Pharmacy License, State Board of Veterinarian Medical Examiners License, and a valid Nevada “Class C” driver’s license.

Pay Rate: $18.58/ Hour

Nye County requires a pre-employment drug screen through a designated facility employment is contingent upon successful completion of this process.
