Job Description
The University of Nevada Athletics, Reno is recruiting for an Assistant Athletics Director, Events Operations. The Assistant Athletics Director, Events Operations, is an administrative and supervisory position in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA).The position is responsible for the support and coordination of all University of Nevada, Reno event personnel involved in the management of all home athletic events, and assists with other University, commercial and non-profit events held in ICA facilities. Generally, the event oversight of all home athletic events within the University of Nevada’s athletic department. The incumbent is responsible for hiring, evaluation of and, if necessary, dismissal of all permanent employees. This position is responsible for the development and oversight of the event operations budget for all Nevada ICA competitions. In addition to duties on the day of the event, the position is responsible for development of event management manuals visiting team guides for each sport. The incumbent is a member of the Facilities & Events Management Department Team and participates in departmental strategic planning, budget oversight and personnel management. The position reports to the Senior Associate Athletics Director, Internal Operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years of related professional work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and three (3) years of related professional work experience
Related Experience : in event management including three years of supervisory experience.

Compensation Grade
This is full-time Administrative Faculty – Compensation Grade C
