As a Billing Specialist Trainee, you will be responsible for learning how to accurately transfer information from the customer’s bill of lading document into our online freight billing system in an efficient and timely manner. This requires a strict, time sensitive schedule so shifts will often end at different times, could exceed 9 hours, and overtime is mandatory when needed. This is a 2nd shift position. Once classroom training is completed, you will have a 90 day period over which to meet and maintain the minimum acceptable performance levels. What you’ll do on a typical day • Progress towards quality standards of 90% • Progress towards the required production of 35 freight bills per hour • Transfer and complete all bills for the shift before the shift ends for the day • Assist Billing Specialists with bills once all individually assigned bills have been transferred during shift • Progress towards achieving 9,500 to 10,000 key strokes per hour and a 90% accuracy rate • Maintain accurate records of customer billing requirements • Develop a thorough working knowledge of the Freight Bill Entry Manual • Participate in team/department initiatives designed to improve customer service as needed • Solve problems related to freight bill entry issues along with the billing audit team • Interact with Billing Supervisors and Auditors on a frequent basis Here are the key things you will need to have • A High School Diploma or GED • Intermediate typing skills • Ability to work shifts that often end at different times and exceed 9 hours • Ability to work mandatory overtime when needed • Ability to maintain regular attendance, both daily and throughout each shift Here are some of the perks you’ll get as a full time member of our team:
