Job Description : Responsibilities

General Purpose
Purchases equipment, materials and services through the review of approved material requirements and specifications, creation of competitive bids, evaluation of proposals, and negotiations with vendors/service providers. Develop and maintain network of suppliers to ensure timely purchases and deliveries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Acts as a strategic advisor to customers and facilitates contract negotiation and awards for all materials and service requirements:

Works with teams to develop business and commercial requirements, specifications, procurement objectives, sourcing criteria, market and supplier evaluations, proposal evaluation criteria and models, and purchase recommendations for materials and services.
Conducts competitive bids which result in the purchase of materials and services from the best evaluated supplier derived from the bid evaluation.
Negotiates commercial terms and conditions for capital projects, services, purchases, and related contracts under general supervision.
Assists with the establishment of identified sourcing and procurement practices and policies.
Maintains RFP’s (Requests for Proposals), proposal evaluation criteria, supplier proposals, match exceptions, requisitions, sourcing strategies, terms and conditions, bilateral agreements and purchase/service orders.
Meets key performance metrics such as time to market, time to order and procurement plan savings credit.
Develops process driven practices and improvements ensuring evaluation of entire process from acquisition to award.

Ensures that all material purchasing activities are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other corporate policies and procedures.
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business or a related field from an accredited school and 3-5 years of related experience in supply chain management, procurement, or related field.
Candidates that do not possess a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated knowledge of:

Contract law and the Uniform Commercial Code, supply / procurement / contracts management and procedures.

Skills such as:

Analytical, interpersonal and communication, including working with all levels of an organization and as a member of a team.
Leads problem resolution session with internal customers and suppliers; assess, review and evaluate proposals.
Negotiation with vendors/service providers including developing strategies and tactics, and influence decisions.

Equipment and Applications
PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
General office environment. No special physical demands required.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $63,100.00 (Min) to $74,200.00 (Mid); Up to 10% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
