Position : Campus Student Services Coordinator

Job Description : Position Purpose
Perform and coordinate and variety of student services duties, such as student advising, student records maintenance, and coordination of multiple student activities at the school to obtain an overall goal of enhancing student satisfaction, success, retention, and program completion for the campus.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

Work closely with the Career Services Coordinator to bridge the academic process with the employment process prior to and upon graduation
Provide a smooth transition for the student into the educational process through orientation, acclimation, retention, support, and connection efforts that link student to the campus and to the campus experience
Provide support to assist student toward a successful matriculation from educational program, aiding in documentation of student outcomes
Introduce the students to outside resources through seminars, workshops, and information sessions that support retention
Input into the student information system in the appropriate format any advising sessions that take place with any student
Help ensure student services are matched to changing student needs
Advise students on in-school temporary or emergent job search (in coordination with the Career Services Coordinator)
Communicate with students via phone, and email, on a regular basis in person to assist student to resolving any issues or concerns that impact their ability to remain active and in good standing within their selected program area ensuring student satisfaction and academic success
Maintain updated outside agency resource list/resource binder for student that provides community links to mental health providers, financial counseling, social services, local medical facilities, and housing resources
Maintain current and accurate emergency community resource list/binder that may be accessed by all staff as needed
Interact with other college departments on behalf of the student
Monitor and address student attendance corresponding with students in person, by phone, by email, and by USPS when there have been multiple absences from class
Advise students when issues arise that may cause a student to contemplate withdrawal from school
Advise and maintain student access to campus Disability Services, acting as liaison for campus with Office of Disability Services within the Corporate Department of Student Affairs
Maintain accurate records and correspondence for students who access ODS
Work in unison with Director of Compliance and Administration or Assistant Campus Director to ensure all ODS policies, procedures, and protocols are followed and documented
Help drive campus improvements in student retention and student satisfaction outcomes
Coordinate activities on campus and within the community that encourage involvement of the student and promote student retention
Participate in and assist students with the graduation process
Participate and/or assist with special projects throughout the school to accomplish the overall objectives of the school
Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Campus Executive Director

Education/Experience/Skills

High School Diploma or GED, or equitable, progressive on-the-job experience in human resources, community services, or related field required
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Community Health, Business or related field preferred
Minimum two (2) years experience in an academic environment as a student, instructor, support services or other staff member
Student/working experience at Centura or AIM preferred
Strong student-centered focus; commitment to student satisfaction and success
Effectiveness in working in teams, focusing on student success, customer service, and service excellence required
Proven, excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with a diverse student population
Must be highly organized, able to multitask, and work in a fast paced environment
Effective problem-solving and decision making abilities
Must be a conscientious individual who needs little supervision in following up on assigned students
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including some evening hours
Strong MS Word, Excel, Outlook skills; prefer CampusVue experience
Online Student Services Coordinator requires ability to operate Web-based e-learning applications
Online student Services Coordinator must also maintain supervisor relationship with Student Advisors, New Student Advisors, and ODS assigned Advisor
