POSITION SUMMARY:
It is the primary responsibility of the Clerk Office Svcs II to deliver mail to on-property departments and prepare mail for external shipment. Assists less experienced Clerk Office Svcs by providing work direction and clarifying standard procedure. All duties are performed in accordance with department guest service standards and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Give work direction to less experienced clerk
Drive administrative services vehicle to properties delivering mail and packages
Process incoming and outgoing packages for delivery
Operate mailroom equipment
Create signs for departments using sign machine
Answer telephones while in the office and direct calls to appropriate areas and staff
Assist Office Services Supervisor with daily tasks
Perform other job-related duties as requested
SUPERVISION:
None
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
PREFERRED:
High school diploma or equivalent
One (1) year of experience in a clerical or similar type position
Experience working in a similar resort setting
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to manage a multi-line phone system and communicate well with guests and staff
Working knowledge of mailroom equipment and sign equipment
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
