Roles and Responsibilities
Principle Responsibility:
Coordination for dispatches with sales & warehouse for shipment by Air, Sea (LCL & FCL) depending on mode of shipment agreed.
Pre shipment documentation – ACD, BOL draft, COO from various authority / agency, COA, etc
Post Shipment documentation – Documents are prepared as per customer requirement and complying LC terms and conditions.
Co-ordination with bank for SB Lodgment queries, courier details for documents through bank or LC documents, etc.
Coordination with forwarders for freight negotiation, vessel planning, bookings, shipping details, etc.
Processing PR & SE for transporter, CHA, forwarder bills.
Resolve customs related matters for smooth shipments, if any
Communication & continuous follow-up with forwarder & shipping lines for arranging smooth dispatches & timely shipment of the goods (FCL & LCL consignments). Also, resolve logistics problems at transshipments point as well as final port of destination.
Plan shipping schedules for orders received and arrange the dispatch so as to meet Customer’s required dates and as per cargo readiness date
Weekly, daily – dispatch/container status reports.
Coordination with the plant for smooth execution of consignments on scheduled date.
Intimation of shipment details to marketing or directly communicating shipment details to customers.
Preparation of Freight Budget by analyzing Budget V/s Actual freight paid for last year and existing freight rates.
MIS – Daily, Weekly, Monthly as per required formats.
Assist in all export logistics activities as and when required.
To undertake and accomplish any other work or special assignment given from time to time.
Other responsibilities:
Exposure to the QMS, customer audit requirements & expectations and comply with all the policies and procedures pertaining to those requirements.
Ensure the departmental Policies and processes are aligned / updated with the changing customer requirements pertaining to EHS, Quality, Products, Material, People Sustainable development Initiatives etc.
