POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating all activities related to a construction project on jobsite, completing work ahead of schedule, within budget and within specifications and the duties will vary by client and project size with varying degrees of responsibility and authority.
This position is located in Round Mountain, NV.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
Manage a combination of two or more Leads, Foremen and Superintendent I, and up to 60 or more employees
Supervise overall direction, coordination, performance and evaluation of subcontractors
Must be able to perform all the duties of a Level I Superintendent and Foreman
Directly supervise, coordinate and delegate activities of Superintendent(s), Foreman(men) and/or construction trade workers in one or more occupations
Interact with client in order to keep the project on schedule and under budget
Maintain a well-organized receiving system
Prepare accurate two week look-ahead
Perform all types of job layouts with the latest technology
Communicate effectively to employees in oral and written form
Perform minor estimating
Understand and use schedules
Complete all required project reports and maintain appropriate documentation on all facets of the project
Ensure that all operators are certified and maintain all equipment on the project
Other duties as assigned
. Requirements:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Five years’ experience/knowledge or combination of experience and education in a supervisory role; civil experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Zero Injury principles
Organize, instruct and supervise construction crews and subcontractors in all areas of construction
Knowledge of all construction tools, machinery methods and procedures
Must be able to forecast and monitor costs of project
Understanding of construction methods, scheduling and blueprint reading
The ability to demonstrate leadership, lead by example, motivate workers and communicate with workers, subordinates and clients
Computer experience with Microsoft office, Email and Internet preferred
Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
