Job Description : The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has an exciting opportunity within the Early Childhood and Family Support Division.

This Program Specialist position oversees the Title X program. This position is sought as a subject matter expert for the program and provides outreach, direct training, and support to contractors providing these services. Additional program management responsibilities include development of evidence-based public health interventions, policies; and implementation of health surveillance and data collection systems. This position will include the following responsibilities: 1) Develops and administers statewide public health program in response to state needs and federal grant and cooperative agreement solicitations. 2) Coordinates program support, outreach, and technical assistance to local and tribal health departments and other partners/contractors. 3) Monitors contractors’ performance with contract compliance and writes and oversees corrective action plans.

Qualifications:

Meet minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, health education, early childhood development/education or other behavioral or social science related field.
Two years of job related public health program experience including contracts and direct training experience.
Experience evaluating, developing, and writing grant responses preferred.
Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
