Job Description : Field Interviewers are responsible for
Making in-person contact with selected respondents to discuss the study, answer questions and obtain participation
Collecting confidential information and administering standardized questionnaires
Collecting data to support planning for prevention and treatment programs that serve your community
Interacting with others and approach selected households without a prior appointment
Independently managing administrative duties, including participating in conference calls and completing online trainings
When working in the field, must be willing to agree to any COVID-19-related protocols put in place by RTI. These could include, among others, wearing face coverings or respiratory protection, gloves, taking temperatures daily, social distancing with survey respondents, getting vaccinated, and/or completing a health pledge. All safety supplies required for use on the project will be provided by RTI.
Technical requirements
After signing up, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to connect. Please be prepared to join the virtual interview from a quiet place using a desktop or mobile device with a working speaker, microphone, and camera. Check to see if your network connection can support an online session. A plugged in ethernet cable or a strong WiFi network signal will help avoid time delays during your conversation.

Project Details:
RTI International is seeking self-motivated and outgoing individuals to work on a government-sponsored research study, the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) as Part-Time Field Interviewers. This important study provides up-to-date information on alcohol, tobacco, and drug use, mental health and other health-related issues in the United States.

Position Description:

Work Schedule:
The data collection period is expected to begin May 2022
On average, you will be needed approximately 20 to 25 hours per week when work is available.
The majority of this work is anticipated to be during evenings and weekends.
Each of your trips to the field are expected to be at least 4 hours long
Qualifications:
Minimum Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Must be at least 21 years old at time of employment
Possess effective communication skills through speech and listening, and fluency in English through reading, writing, and speaking
Available for entire training and data collection period
Able to successfully complete training
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal automobile available for business use
Able to keep project information confidential.

Positive, self-motivated, curious, and enjoy interacting with people from culturally-diverse backgrounds
Effective time, schedule, and workload management skills to meet set deadlines
Computer skills, namely email and internet proficiency
