Position : Forklift Operator – Days & Nights – $3000 BONUS

Job Description : Job Purpose
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of a forklift and movement of lumber throughout the plant. The Forklift Operator will also stack material, load trailers, and empty full containers throughout the facility efficiently.
Primary Role and Responsibilities

Follow all safety practices
Maintain a clean and safe loading and staging work area (5s)
Responsible for organizing lumber, including correctly identifying raw lumber to load into machines
Coordinate with supervisor to empty full containers and bins in and around the facility
Use computer software to register lumber purchase orders
Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times
Assist other areas of production as needed

Requirements

1+ year of experience in an industrial setting
1+ year of heavy equipment operation preferred
Ability to drive a large lift capable of moving 4,000+ lbs.
Excellent computer literacy skills
Lots of energy for walking, getting on and off lift, & unwrapping units of lumber for 10+ hr. shift
Excellent mental alertness and attention to detail
Good work history and attendance record
Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Shift:
Day Shift
6:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Night Shift
5:05 p.m. – 3:35 a.m.
