Job Description : Front Office–Ophthalmology
If you are interested in a full-time front office position, in a fast paced ophthalmology practice, providing excellent health care and customer service, we invite you to send your resume.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Prefer 2 years experience working in the front office of an ophthalmology or optometry practice
Prefer 2 years experience working with medical and vision insurances
Essential Skills and Abilities
Must be organized, multi-task oriented, energetic, and possess a positive, professional attitude
Outstanding telephone, reception and communication skills
Problem solver “Think on your feet”
Compassionate of patient needs and concerns
Attention to detail
Team player
Knowledge of electronic practice management systems
JOB DESCRIPTION The duties include, but are not limited to:
Answering busy phones and heavy patient contact
Appointment scheduling
Patient check-in and check-out
Insurance authorization and referral verification
Data Entry
Collecting copays, deductibles, co-insurance
Must be available during all business hours including evenings and potentially weekends
