Starting wage: $16.50 per hour

Our qualified candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience working in a receptionist/office assist capacity and have good computer skills. Must be approachable and enjoy working with people to make a good fit for this opportunity.
Job Summary
Facilitate screening and intake of clients attending counseling sessions, schedule appointments, answer phones, direct calls to the appropriate staff or programs, maintain multiple databases. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Primary Responsibilities
Include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Conduct the initial interview and screen clients for appropriate services.
Intake of clients and gather relevant details before appointments.
Take incoming calls and make appointments.
Support clients in the waiting room both before and after appointments
Communicate with appropriate departments and individuals regarding matters related to client care
Input client details and check insurance details if necessary.
Use the client scheduling software.
Maintain a neat and organized work area.
Answer phones, file, and maintain patient records according to HIPAA regulations.
Greet visitors, both clients, and non-clients, and direct them to the appropriate staff.
Assist donors who walk in with in-kind items.
Maintain client files as directed by supervisor and maintain accurate and timely data entry that may be needed in multiple systems.
Assist in collecting and recording client fee payments according to operational practices as instructed.
Compile statistical reports on client services as directed.
Assist in meeting routine needs of the primary office staff regarding office resources, room scheduling, and other office management duties, as assigned.
Participate in team meetings, agency staff meetings, and agency training as assigned
Work cooperatively with volunteers and other staff.

Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from agency policies and procedures, or governmental/funding regulations. Ability to write business correspondence, procedure documents, and other publications related to the position.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with sometimes limited standardization or explicit policy. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or other forms. Must be able to think strategically and remain focused in a team environment.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to maintain multiple data basses and be proficient in Microsoft Office
