Job Description : Head of Cultivation – (Cannabis Grow Facility):
The Company:
We are an established and growing “Seed to Sale” Cannabis cultivator, manufacturer, and is a leading provider of wholesale consumer cannabis products in Nevada, they are well known for their underlying brands and growing list of products for quality, expertise, and reliability within the adult-use Cannabis sector.
They currently have an 18,000+ Sq Ft Las Vegas based Indoor grow facility with more than 10,000 Sq Ft of Canopy (in addition to clones, mom, and veg) with state-of-the-art irrigation and fertigation systems, double edged lighting, and currently utilize rock wall.
The company has multiple popular and established brands under their umbrella including a premium exotic flower brand, which is highly sought after locally and is high demand within local dispensaries. The Which is derived from phenotype since this premium flower product is cultivated by in-house artisans using a technique known as Pheno Hunting which analyzes multiple phenotypes of the same strain, grow the strain and then select best phenotype for large scale cultivation and production. Our other mid market tier brand is also rapidly expanding and produces multiple brandedextraction-based products including: THCA diamond infused pre-rolls, Diamond Rocks (dipped and enhanced exotic flower nuggets), Gummies (vegan), premium distillate infused botanical Vape Cartridges, Tinctures (agave water-based and oil-based tinctures), edibles, and Concentrates (small batch hand-crafted hydrocarbon extracted concentrates).

The Role:
Head of Cultivation
The Head of Cultivation will be responsible for and oversee the daily operations of the indoor cannabis cultivation / Grow facilities and have full responsibilities from strain selection and genetics through to the jar.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day cannabis grow operations for 18,000+ indoor facility, with a total of 10,000+ sq ft of canopy.
Lead the cultivation procedures and nutrient protocols, strain selection, phenotype cultivation, and manage and train a team of 5-10 people.
Develop and establish all cultivation protocols, and work closely with the rest of the departments and the Operations and Executive Team to develop and improve processes and yields and supervise all post-harvest activities
Ensure post-harvest work areas are clean and maintained.
Motivate and mentor the cultivation staff to meet performance and yield targets
Ensure proper training and development of employees and schedule weekly employee work scxhedules.
Schedule preventative maintenance to ensure the highest quality yields without loss to fungus, disease and mold etc.
Follow strict standards related to the grow operations and will be responsible for KPI Reporting and monitoring on a regular basis.
Expert knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi, and integrated pest management treatment
Execute preventative maintenance to eliminate mold, powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids, fungus gnats etc.
Responsible for the hiring, training and scheduling staff through all processes including cloning, transplanting, topping, defoliating, trimming, packaging, etc.
Develop and/or maintain outdoor grow protocols and nutrient regiments
Schedule plant maintenance and maintain organization to keep costs down
Track and catalog each strain from seed to flower to harvest.

Education and Experience Requirements: * Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Horticulture or Plant Science a Plus

5+ years as a Head Grower / Lead Cultivator in a Commercial Indoor Operation
5+ years commercial agriculture or indoor cannabis facility experience preferred
Expertise and knowledge with nutrients and soil mediums
Knowledge of compliant Integrated Pest Management solutions and ability to identify nutrient deficiencies proactively
Up to date and advanced knowledge of the cannabis plant growing techniques, new strains and genetics
Well organized and attention to detail is a must
Experienced team leader with a positive attitude and vision for the future
Knowledge of crop management and commercial agriculture
Expert knowledge of plant diseases, pests and health
Strong communication and leadership skills
Must be 21+ and pass a background screening

Physical Requirements: * Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of receiving and storage areas

Extended time standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching
Close visual focus required
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Able to represent the company appropriately
Must be 21 years of age
Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations if required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
Schedule:

Monday to Friday
On call

Supplemental Pay:
