Position : HR Generalist

Job Description : We are a Hospitality and Retail based-company in Las Vegas, Nevada, and are looking for a talented and eager professional to join our corporate team as a Human Resources Generalist. We are looking for an individual that is operations-focused, can bring energy, initiative, curiosity, and a great attitude for supporting others.
Objectives of this Role:

Oversee the recruitment process (hiring, onboarding, and termination of employees)
Oversee company training and development efforts
Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale
Ensure compliance with all employment/legal requirements
Ensure store managers are in compliance with federal/state/company set policies and procedures
Communicate and craft effective company policies; update employee handbooks, contracts, job descriptions, and duties.
Maintain accurate records of all documents pertaining to company policies/procedures and employees
Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation, and other personnel packages
Maintain confidential company and employee information

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

Plan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by scheduling management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances, training managers to coach and discipline employees, and counseling employees and supervisors
Visit all locations bi-monthly to check in with managers and store employees to assess hiring needs and store culture
Oversee performance evaluations and compensation
Oversee employee grievances and internal/customer incidents
Process bi-weekly payroll and manage overtime/store hours
Respond to unemployment and worker’s compensation claims

Requirements:

Drug Test & Background Check
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operational management role
Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources or recruitment
Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and other ATS’s (Preferred)
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and without minimal supervision
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Clear written and verbal communications
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Knowledge of Federal/State employment laws, Labor Relations, Investigation Skills
Knowledge of HR compliance, unemployment, and worker’s compensation
Ability to drive to/visit multiple locations (~1-2 days weekly)

Please note: This position is located in our corporate office located in Downtown Las Vegas (I-15 and Charleston) and is a corporate mid-level position. Salary is based on experience.”Work Location:
