POSITION DESCRIPTION
A construction HR Coordinator is a construction professional with many years of experience in a construction office setting who plays a supporting role in the overall onboarding, training, development, and management of the company’s team members. Coordination of multiple weekly, monthly and quarterly activities and processes including team member interactions, human resource functions, KPI development and reporting, interviews, document control, developing role responsibilities, conducting team member reviews, and addressing issues and complaints to the satisfaction of the team member and company. Long-term objectives include periodic review of job practices for quality, efficiency, work methods, and following company policies.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Must read and comprehend labor laws, union contracts, payroll requirements and tax laws.
· Excellent English reading and writing skills to compile and articulate in-depth descriptions and summaries. Spanish is a plus.
· Savvy Computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Foundation Software Accounting, and LCP Tracker
· Valid Driver’s license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Must be a self-starting team player with an ability to wear multiple hats and motivate others.
· Be articulate, communicative, and professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with both internal and external contacts.
· Ability to handle multiple projects and customers simultaneously; and the ability to meet designated deadlines is critical.
· Excellent organizational skills and organizational responsibility and efficiency.
· Candidate must maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times and possess the ability to properly handle sensitive materials concerning the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
HR
· Create and maintain employee files and Roster – electronically and physically.
· Develop position descriptions, roles, and responsibilities with each department head.
· Conduct Employee pre-screenings.
· Manage Employee communications including preparing interview packets, new hire handbooks, union new hire packets, E-verify, union dispatches, trade certifications and job descriptions.
· Manage the Onboarding and 90 Day Roll out process.
· Oversee Company level new hire training- Employee handbook/ Culture/ Vision/ Mission/ Core Values/ 5 Principals and Evolution of Success.
· Oversee Department level new hire training including job descriptions, department SOPs, use of software and Departments/Roles cross-training, Company Life Cycle and Project Life Cycle.
· Manage and administer the continuing education goals of each department.
· Help administer employee benefits.
· Process and track PTO and sick time.
· Attend and participate in Culture Committee events.
· Attend and document employee Quarterly Reviews.
· Evaluate workplace morale.
· Managing employee inquiries and complaints.
· Manage and document employee disciplinary actions.
· Manage the Employee exit process and paperwork.
· Perform additional assignments per manager’s direction.
· Ensure timely completion of multiple deliverables, and proactively address difficult situations in a positive cooperative manner.
Payroll
· Review and Verify timecard hours prior to payroll.
· Process Payroll.
· Review and Process Certified Payroll.
· Compile monthly WC reports.
· Compile Quarterly and annual payroll reporting.
· Compile document for Audits- insurance/ union/ DOL.
· Perform additional assignments per manager’s direction.
· Ensure timely completion of multiple deliverables, and proactively address difficult situations in a positive cooperative manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
