JOB SUMMARY:
Provide forefront administrative support to the Human Resources department and all company departments as needed. Assists in the operations in the understanding of policy and procedure and labor contracts as it relates to individual situations. Under the direction of the Human Resources director. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensures the accuracy of all compliance, internal investigations and proposed solutions for all individual situations that arise
Effectively interpreting FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
Oversees and monitors Risk Management, Benefits Specialist, Human Resources Generalist, Human Resources Coordinator and Employee/Labor Relations Specialists
Thoroughly interpret and understand contractual material and apply to everyday investigations/scenarios
Ability to maintain objectivity during any investigation through the decision-making process
Clearly present the company’s expectations and position regardless of personal views during various union interactions, negotiations and meetings
Responds to PAFs (Personnel Action Forms) such as disciplinary actions, terminations, promotions, and various other actions
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Must be flexible, detail oriented, able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills
Ability to handle to the upmost confidential materials and information
Must be able to work in a fast paced, adaptive environment while meeting deadlines with each task assigned
Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming License
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of Human Resources experience
Some college preferred
Understanding of union contractual agreements preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Ceridian/Dayforce application is a plus
PHYSICAL, MENTAL and WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols
Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment
Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping
Constant contact with fellow team members
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
May be exposed to areas with unrestricted secondhand smoke
