We are a TS16949 and ISO14001 registered company and have established a reputation for market leading product and service quality. This in turn has contributed to consistent growth, and now requires recruitment to join our expanding team at our stamping facility.
Pre-requisite
Must pass testing that will include reading abilities to demonstrate capability of understanding process sheets and detailed written operator instructions inspection skills are required and will be tested by means of a hands-on performance assessment.
Upon passing testing further qualifications and responsibilities will be:
General Function
1.) To operate the Aisin Process Line equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
2.) To visually inspect and pack product to the Aisin quality standard as set by ACM (Aisin Chemical Manufacturing) and administered by Means ACE’s (Aisin Chemical Experts).
3.) To perform box making, labeling, and bar code scanning as required.
4.) Must participate in plant enhancement activities.
5.) To perform general preventive maintenance duties as specified by the company.
6.) Must work in a team environment.
Qualifications
1.) Must be able to read and follow operator instruction sheets.
2.) Must have an understanding of SPC charts, Median Range, and X-bar charts.
3.) Must be capable of operating, reading, and understanding gauges.
4.) Must be able to be trained and operate all equipment required within sixty (60) working days of entering the classification.
5.) Maintain visual inspection certification.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.) Operate machinery according to safety rules.
2.) Must be responsible to drive a forklift truck.
3.) Responsible for meeting production standards set forth on process sheets.
4.) Responsible for performing preventive maintenance and changing tooling as required.
5.) Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment per 5s specified intervals and standards.
6.) Responsible for completing required paperwork for data collection.
7.) Responsible for checking parts per work instructions to insure parts are within specifications. Responsible for quality of work and may be required to sort parts if found to be defective.
8.) Responsible to follow operator instruction sheets, the TS 16949 or existing quality standard, and ISO 14001 environment standard procedures to produce quality parts. Participate in all continual improvement activities as required by the company.
10) Responsible for performing janitorial duties when required.
11) Responsible for performing shipping duties when required.
12) Must be able to make own boxes, label product, and bar code scan as required.
13) Maintain and update the Meiruka boards at each production process.
Aisin Work Cell specific characteristic’s
Inspection Training Requirements
After preliminary selection, Aisin process line production workers/inspectors shall undergo 160 hours of inspection training, over a four-week span in order to prepare for on-going inspection. This shall be done by visually inspecting finished production plates at an inspection table specifically designed for inspector training. The table shall be complete with visual aids explaining the step-by-step visual inspection procedure.
Inspection shall consist of the following or other procedures as determined by the Company:
(200) finished steel separator/core plates shall be pulled from normal production.
Inspectors will be required to wear lint free gloves at all times while handling parts. Parts cannot be handled with the bare hands.
Inspectors will be required to have total concentration and focus on parts while inspecting to meet inspection standards.
The inspector shall be required to visually inspect the plates and remove defective parts by defect classification as stated below. The inspector shall be timed to track the level of speed attained and improvements made as their skill increases. Surface Dents, Surface Scratches, Surface Dirt/Scale, OD and ID Dirt, OD and OD Dents, Uneven vibe, Rust, Burr, Incomplete Dry, ID and OD double break
The same (200) steel plates shall then be visually inspected by an ACE. ACE’s are certified on visually inspecting Aisin product, and defective parts shall be removed. Criteria for passing the inspection test require the results of the trainee’s inspection to match that of the trainer. Margin of error shall be no more than (0) total defects missed or the inspector shall not be qualified. This is a specific requirement of Aisin Chemical.
Must be able to operate a fork truck.
