Position : Intake Specialist

Job Description : Submits physician orders and coordinates schedules with the needs of the facilities and ordering physicians by performing the following duties.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assigns and manages daily orders in a timely fashion to ensure required turnaround time.*
Enters patient information and physician orders accurately and in a timely fashion.*
Verifies insurance eligibility
Sends images to the appropriate teleradiology group based on facility needs.*
Confirms receipt of final reports.*
Communicates with patient and facility concerning rescheduling of exams or delays.*
Verifies patient addresses and billing information prior to exam.*
Reports and documents all critical findings.*
Answers multi-line telephone and provides information in a professional manner.*
Ensures that all routine and stat exams are processed in the designated timeframe with appropriate facilities/physicians.*
Performs other related duties as assigned.
