Position : Junior Sports Trader

Job Description : The Junior Sports Trader is passionate about sports and together with the Head of Sportsbook is responsible for risk management and compiling odds for a wide variety of sports events. This role shall monitor 3rd party trading solutions and keep up to date with any market changes.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Compile odds for a wide variety of sporting markets
Monitor real-time sports events/ results
Perform customer analysis
Monitor customers and bet limits
Investigate and analyze market trends to obtain insight that assists in the prediction of customer betting patterns
Observe competitor activity and make real-time adjustments where appropriate
Liaise with various internal departments in relation to sportsbook related escalations
Develop trading skills-set by working closely with senior members of staff
Keep up to date with sporting activity by following sports events and new updates
Maintain a high level of awareness of internal policies, systems, and procedures
Create bespoke value adds such as enhanced odds or player related betting opportunities

Essential Criteria

Relevant Tertiary Qualification
Detailed knowledge of major US sports and player statistics
Understanding of how odds and lines are created
Adaptive and reliable
Strong self-management skills
High levels of motivation and enthusiasm
Team player as well as a self-starter
Adaptable to business/ role requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Excel Tools
Able to multitask and work under pressure
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Highly numerate
Able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
