Job title: LAB ASSISTANT-Phlebotomist_Nevada
Salary grade / range: $18 to $24 (DOE)
Reports to: Medical Director

Summary:
We are seeking a CERTIFIED and “LICENSED” Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist for our facility located in Nevada that will be responsible for administering care under the supervision of the Medical Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner 
Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff 
Escort patients to exam rooms 
Set up the back office for the day for patients 
Prep patient rooms, bringing patients into the room and keeping the room clean 
Assist the doctor with patients 
Follow-up with patient calls 
Draw blood 

Competencies:

Familiarity with medical billing procedures 
Strong organizational skills 
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
Knowledge of Electronic Health Records 

Supervisory responsibilities: None
Work environment: Wellness Clinic / STD Clinic
Uniform: Personal scrubs
Position type: Full-time (Monday through Friday)
Required License and Certification:

CERTIFIED and “LICENSED” Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist)

Preferred Experienced:

Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
At least 1-year experience in a medical assisting role
EHR 1 year
Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields 

Classification: Hourly

Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place
