Job Description : Job Description: The Learning Coordinator aligns with the Learning Network in supporting local learning needs, partnering with hospital, clinic, homecare office administrators, and senior learning business partners to implement and evaluate locally deployed learning related programs.

Scope Reports directly to a Senior Learning Business Partner or Learning Business Partner. Dotted line relationship to the hospital, homecare, or medical group nurse administrator. Job Essentials

Supports the Learning Network and local administration with education-related projects.
Collaborates with peers across the enterprise to assure consistency in program implementation.
Performs assigned needs assessments and conducts ongoing evaluation of learning activities based on participant feedback, national standards, and changing organizational requirements in support of a One Intermountain model.
Collaborates as a member of assigned task forces to ensure local needs are met.
Implements assigned programs at local facilities (e.g., Nurse Residency [must be an RN], AHA RQI, workplace violence prevention training, clinical and non-clinical coach workshops, simulation, specialty certifications, AV coordination, equipment implementations, skills days, community courses).
Participates with local leadership in preparation for regulatory agency reviews.
Mentors and acts as a resource for caregivers to maximize efficient use of resources, promote consistency in learning and competence, and validate application of educational principles to training materials. Facilitates the development of appropriate staff in the learning process (train the trainer).
Partners with Learning Business Partners and subject matter experts to ensure learning programs meet or exceed Intermountain/facility guidelines and policies, State and Federal regulatory agency requirements, accrediting agency requirements, and educational principles.
Responds to, prioritizes, and oversees facility specific learning workshops and conferences as defined by the Learning Business Partners and facility leadership.
Continually improves learning processes while utilizing financial resources responsibly (e.g., budget constraints, caregiver time).

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Education is verified. Two years of experience in an education role. – and – Project management and continuous improvement experience. – and – Leadership, mentoring, and coaching experience. – and – Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, e-mail, and reporting tools. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in a relevant clinical area or Education. Current RN license. – and – National certification in area of expertise. (CCRN, CEN, etc.) Two years of experience working in the designated department or specialty area. – and – Five years of experience in an education or professional development role.

Physical Requirements:
Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information. – and – Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands. – and – See and read computer monitors and documents. – and – Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
