Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.
The Electro-mechanical Maintenance Tech role is an opportunity to join our high growth company and be part of an innovative maintenance team that supports Hydro and/or Pyro metallurgy processes. This position will play a critical role by providing quality maintenance support services to maximize machine availability and uptime for our various production teams. You will apply your technical skills with troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment, automated PLC’s, robotics and other equipment used to support production operations. Additionally, you will develop new and valuable skills with ability to grow your career.
Responsibilities will include:

Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, EHS, Operations personnel, Health and Leadership teams
Provide diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance services for Redwood’s production facilities
Respond to corrective maintenance cases for production and facilities equipment
Ensure tooling, electronics, software, and company issued property are well-kept
Responsible for logging out Spare parts to ensure spare parts inventory stays accurate
Responsible for logging daily production/key figures/downtime tracker. Review shift pass downs and communicate where needed

Qualifications

5+ years of experience of experience with PLC’s, Ladder diagrams, and electronic troubleshooting to find root cause issues.
Experience in working with 480 VAC and lower voltages, wiring electrical cabinets, troubleshooting with electrical meters, amp clamps , megers etc
Experience with welding and metal fabrication.
5+ years’ experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems preferred.
Strong Electronic and mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting production issues, while minimizing downtime.
Understanding of the NEC codes and knowledge of NFPA 70E practices.
Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies, and industry standards
Ability to follow instructions, read, write and perform arithmetic calculations
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be an independent thinker with the ability to make sound, logical decisions and follow safety rules and work procedures
Proficient working with spreadsheets, word processing, and computer-based applications (e.g. time tracking, case management, etc.)
Additional responsibilities may require working with engineering to support production needs and organizational initiatives.
Position requires physical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes, for extended periods of time.
Ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Full-time Opportunities (All shifts) in Carson City, NV and McCarran, NV locations.
Current Shifts:A (Sun – Tues and every other Wed) 6am to 6pm
B (Sun – Tues and every other Wed) 6pm to 6am [This shift includes a 10% shift differential]
C (Thurs – Sat and every other Wed) 6am to 6pm
D (Thurs – Sat and every other Wed) 6pm to 6am [This shift includes a 15% shift differential]
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $40.00 per hour
