Delivering this customized style of healthcare requires a team that understands the importance of a positive and harmonious work environment.Position SummaryAs a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the clinical team in providing personalized patient care. This position is also responsible for providing information to patients, performing a suite of pre-wellness tests (EKG, spirometry, ankle-brachial exam, body composition analysis, and blood draws), sleep studies, Holter monitors, authorizing prescription refills along with preparing and administering medications. This position also supports the Front Desk team with general administrative tasks.Qualifications
A minimum of three years of experience in a medical office setting.
Current AHA BLS/CPR card certification
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification in one of the following Medical Assistant Programs:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
The Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification from American Medical Technologists (AMT)
The National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) certification from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
Must maintain a positive attitude.
Must work as part of a team to ensure optimal patient care.
Must organize and manage time efficiently.
