Job Description : Missoula Bone & Joint is seeking a Part-Time Medical Records Assistant.The hours for this position are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm with a 30 minute lunch.DutiesInteracts with other staff, patients and the public on medical records mattersLocates medical information for records release and releases records as necessary with HIPAA compliant releasesFiles medical information and other information in patient EMRLocates and prepares charts for next day clinicLocates and sends medical information to requesting physicians/departmentsRepairs torn charts, replacing torn pockets and broken fastenersPurges old records and relocates other charts to storageCompliance with HIPAA, OSHA and Red Flag RulesManages the clinic fax server by uploading faxes as attachments to the MR and printing certain documents for routing to providers for signatures.Upload signed/reviewed documents to patients EMR as an attachment.RequiredHigh school diploma or GED certificateGood typing skillsGood communication skillsGood computer skillsAbility to run fax machine, postage meter and printersStrong ethical and moral character referencesPreferredMedical records experienceHow To ApplyPlease go to our website at missoulaboneandjoint.com to complete an application and instructions on how to apply.Job Type: Part-timePay: $15.00 – $19.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayExperience:Medical Office: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
