Position : Pool Repair Tech (Independent Contractor)
Job Description : We’re looking for an experienced repair tech on as needed basis as an independent contractor. You’ll be paid per job, 50/50 split of net*. We will provide the jobs and required parts. You;d average two jobs a week in the beginning.
Pay per job example: Replace pump motor
Cost of parts: $200, sold for $250
Labor: 1.5 hours bill @ $98/hr for a total of $147.
Total net is $197, your take home is $98.50*. Not bad for an hour an half of work, right?
* Assumes you have your own workers compensation and liability insurance. We can recommend an inexpensive liability policy (less than $50 a month). If you don’t have your own workers compensation insurance, we’d deduct 4.3% from each job to cover the cost of insurance.
Position Duties
Providing pool repair services to our residential clients on pumps, automation systems, filters (Cartridge, DE, and Sand), chlorine feeders, chlorine generators, lights, heaters, etc.
Completing all aspects of a repair, namely troubleshooting, creating repair estimates, completing repairs, and documenting repairs
Communicate with company management as required
Minimum Position Requirements
Minimum of 18 years of age
Ability to swim
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to endure the extreme summer temperatures of Las Vegas
Ability to use a smart phone
Valid Nevada Drivers License, a reliable vehicle capable of carrying large pool equipment like heaters and filters, and minimum auto insurance required by law
Tools and equipment to complete repairs
Knowledge of pool plumbing and circulation systems
Knowledge of pool 110V and 220V electrical equipment
Two years of verifiable experience as a Pool Repair Technician
PreferredQualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Four years of verifiable experience as a Pool Repair Technician
Product certifications (Zodiac/Jandy, Hayward, Pentair, etc.)
Certified Pool & Spa Maintenance Specialist (CMS)
THIS IS AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY – YOU WILL NOT BE AN EMPLOYEE.
