Nursing Full Time Faculty-Practical Nurse Program
Job Description
Las Vegas College invites applications for a full-time Nursing Faculty position in the Practical Nurse Program. We are searching for a team-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Maintain professional standards of practice teaching in the classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical settings.
2. Deliver course material in accordance with program curriculum.
3. Fulfill administrative requirements for each course.
4. Prepare and implement teaching and evaluation strategies for engagement of students within the Licensed Practical Nursing Scope of Practice
5. Maintain high standards of professionalism and accountability and models positive behaviors for students.
6. Utilize student achievement and learning outcome data to develop program improvement strategies and participates in formal processes of program improvement.
7. Support student success through mentoring, tutoring, and advising.
8. Ensure the program consistently adheres to applicable institutional, governmental and accreditation standards.
9. Participate in program and college activities including graduation and pinning ceremony.
10. Complete other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
1. Master of Science, Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited college or university
2. Active, unencumbered Nevada RN License
3. Minimum of two years experience as a registered nurse
4. Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills
5. Detail orientated and well-organized
6. Positive attitude
7. Student-Centered
Preferred Qualifications
1. Previous teaching experience in nursing education including didactic, skills lab, simulation, and clinical settings.
2. Experience working with diverse student populations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
