Position Summary:
Provides excellent customer service, patient/employee relations by maintaining a dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Provides concise, comprehensive information and assistance to patients, visitors, family members, and employees by phone and/or in person. Works with other departments to facilitate the support process and works toward issue resolution. Prepares a variety of technical, statistical, and narrative reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
Job Requirement
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, healthcare administration, finance, or closely related field related to assigned area.
Licensing/Certification Requirements: None.
Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements
Fundraising and community outreach experience
Event planning and execution experience
Assist with grant writing and support
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements
Knowledge of: Customer service/service excellence initiatives or best practices; hospital organizational structure, rules, regulations, and operating procedures; office practices and procedures; data collection, business communication and etiquette; department and hospital safety practice and procedures; patient rights; age specific patient care practices; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.
Skill in: Collecting feedback, analyzing, creating reports and providing data to leadership; using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines; working independently to organize and prioritize work under minimal supervision; planning, organizing, prioritizing work, paying attention to detail, and meeting critical deadlines; providing assistance to others; handling sensitive issues and maintaining confidentiality; maintaining records and comprehensive files; reading and understanding complex material; interpreting policies and procedures; using computers and related software applications; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
